The 4-bit design uses 4-bit binary hour marks instead of arabic or roman numerals (the least significant bit is always on the outside). The "retrograde" dual time display makes it easy to tell 24-hour time at a glance by reading the small hand near the 6 o'clock hour. The full 24-hour clock is shown with highlighted 3-hour marks. At midnight on the dual display, the hand "retrogrades" back to the beginning of the dial. It's fashionable, and it's useful too. Boost your geek cred and know where you stand in the world!
